Before six months, I opened a log file in Visual Studio code and with that file open I mistakenly did sudo rm -R <folder_name>
.
After that, I closed that file in Visual Studio code. But for the past six months, whenever I open Visual code, this file opens in a separate window. I tried "Open the containing folder" on that file, but nothing happened. So I'm unsure if that particular file is deleted.
I've tried various solutions such as Clear cache on disk in Visual Studio Code and How do you clear your Visual Studio Code cache on a Mac/Linux Machine?. I've also tried removing and reinstalling it. But nothing worked. And as I use Visual code for most of my daily tasks, it's becoming more and more frustrating to see it open for the past six months.
Please tell me how to solve this.
